December at Greenleaf State Park

On December 26, Cathy, Brittany and I went to Greenleaf, we had a reservation for Cabin 10, however upon arrival Cabin on the Lake #15 was available for Sunday night. We checked in to The Cabin on the Lake, built a roaring fire in the fireplace. We reminisced about all the great times spent there and all the wonderful memories with Steve and Chuck. Brittany ran up and down the ramp to the lake, sat on the railing (as she did when she was about four), swung on the porch swing, we played games and ate snacks. On Monday we checked into Cabin 10, and continued on the journey we had planned. Monday evening we had dinner in Muskogee, toured Honor Heights Park for Christmas in the park. The lights were beautiful as if the flowers were in bloom. The we ventured to the The Castle to view Christmas blow-ups, approximately 1000 to 2000 depending on who was counting. Some reports said 1000, others 1500 and 2000. There were a lot on the drive thru, some in The Castle, there was also a petting zoo, camel rides, hayride and horse drawn buggy rides. The blowups ranged from Santa in all kinds of vechiles, sponge bob, the grinch, scooby doo, penguins, alien, snowmen, abdominal snowman and Nativity scences. There were all very interesting. A great tme was had by all. On Tuesday we returned to Oklahoma City.
